Matthew Diffee

Matthew Diffee is a cartoonist. He has contributed to The New Yorker since 1999 and has published over two hundred cartoons. His work has also appeared in Time, the Believer, and Texas Monthly. He is the co-editor of Volumes I and II of “The Rejection Collection: Cartoons You Never Saw, and Never Will See, in The New Yorker_,”_ published by Simon & Schuster. He recently illustrated a collector’s edition of Stephen King’s novel “Under the Dome” and is currently working on a book for Scribner called “Hand Drawn Jokes for Smart Attractive People.” He has performed on The Moth Mainstage and regularly speaks on the creative process at events like TEDx and South By Southwest.
